How fees work
What you pay depends on your plan and on what we make. You'll know before we start.
Insurance we work with
An oral appliance for sleep apnea is billed to a medical plan more often than to a dental plan, and your plan decides what it covers. We tell you what we can bill and what it will leave to you. Medicaid and CHIP: we aren't enrolled, and we'll help you find a nearby office that is.

If you pay yourself
If you pay without insurance, you get a written estimate for the whole path before we start: the appliance, the fitting and the follow-up. Financing is offered by third-party lenders. Approval and terms are set by the lender.
Receipts for reimbursement
After a visit you can ask for an itemized statement to send to your plan. Your plan decides whether it reimburses you.
An estimate in advance
You can ask for a written estimate before any treatment. If you are paying without insurance, we give you a good faith estimate in writing, on request or when you schedule.
Checking your benefits
Before your first visit we check what your plan says about the visit and about an appliance, and we tell you what we found. Bring your physician's referral and sleep test report so we can send them with the claim.
What the first visit includes
A first visit takes about an hour. We ask about your sleep, look at your jaw, teeth and bite, and go over what comes next. You leave with a written estimate for anything that follows.
